In The Details 5-19-23

Every now and then I throw together an outfit that ends up being an oft-repeated favorite, and this combo is one such instance. Perfect for a not-too-dressy but not-too-casual day, and dare I say it gives “Parisian”? Let’s dive in.

Summer-season dressing has never come particularly naturally to me - most of all tops. Most blouses are uncomfortable to me, but most T-shirts feel like an iteration of my middle-school-self. This knit top is the perfect middle ground and I have probably worn it too much this summer. But, to that effect, it is reversible and looks like a different top depending on which side is facing front! I was concerned that the knit would be too heavy for warm months, but that is not at all the case. If anything the knit makes it breezy than a traditional cotton.

Now you’ve already heard about these trousers quite extensively on Instagram, but they are my holy grail trousers. If you are looking for a slightly cropped fit I recommend ordering your normal size but in petite. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they release some new colors/patterns this autumn!

This basket bag has been my old-fashioned whirlwind summer romance. I fell hard and fast for this beauty and remain enamored. Not only does it go with literally any outfit, it is so so spacious. Occasionally, when out shooting content, I can fit multiple outfits in this basket. I just know I will wear this bag every single spring/summer for the far foreseeable future. An investment piece that is worth every cent to me.

I don’t know how to describe it, but I have a threshold of how many days I can have my toes out for the world to see. Summer gets a bit challenging for me in that regard, but these huarache sandals from Nisolo have been a great solution. Perfect for no-toe days, and just as breathable as any open-toe shoe. You can use my code “THESUNALSOREADS” for 20% off Nisolo if you’re interested! :)
