My Picks from the Sézane Fall Collection
The day has come for what is, for me at least, the most exciting shopping day of the year - Sézane’s annual autumn collection release. I thought it could be fun for me to curate a few picks from the sale, as I’ve sometimes found big launches like this a bit overwhelming in terms of choices. Three things I wanted to note - no I did not just purchase everything listed here. I did purchase a few of these pieces this morning, and others are ones that I absolutely would wear and might hopefully get my hands on throughout the season if stock lasts. Second, Sézane frequently restocks, so if something you like is out of stock, I would definitely turn on their restock notifications for the item. Third, this post is not sponsored. However I do earn a small affiliate commission if you purchase through the links in this blog post. In general, purchasing through links I provide is a great way to support me. Alright, let’s go!
We’re starting off strong with two things I absolutely DID order and am so incredibly excited about. That would be this blazer and mini skirt combo in houndstooth. This is the Christie Jacket that I already own in camel and fits exquisitely. I distinctly remember missing out on this houndstooth pattern last winter, and have been waiting for it to restock ever since. This year they added the Malia mini skirt in the same print, and I am just endlessly obsessed. Either together, or on their own with other pieces, they are the epitome of autumn. You will be seeing me in these a borderline exhausting amount this autumn and winter.
Next up are the Damon Trousers in mottled grey. This will be my first time trying the Damon trousers, but I have heard absolutely wonderful things. As you know from my previous trouser-love-affairs, I love a good pair of cropped wide-leg trousers. When I saw this color-way launch, I just couldn’t hold off any longer. Something about the grey wool screams “academia” to me, and I truly can’t wait to style these with literally every sweater I own. There are some other excellent colors available in the style if the grey isn’t your thing.
Next is the Rym Blouse. Something about the lace details, long sleeves, and high neck, gives me the best witchy, Sabrina Spellman vibes. This will layer beautifully under sweaters, blazers, or just by itself on a balmy day. The beauty about this piece in particular is that it isn’t seasonally limited. It can easily be styled for all four seasons, so the price per wear is definitely better than something that is strictly limited to fall and winter.
The Paula Babies are a classic Sézane silhouette. The two straps are simply darling, and the low block heel means that they endlessly comfy for walking. I have been eyeing them for years, and I think this season will have to be when I finally pull the trigger. I haven’t yet decided on what color-way, there are just so many good ones. One thing I will note, is when I visited the Sézane flagship while I was in New York this summer, the Paula Babies tend to run small. I would size up when ordering. In general with sizing they are good about saying size up, size down, or tts in their descriptions. If you do end up ordered the wrong size, they make returns exceptionally easy.
I mean, have you ever seen a more perfect knit? I am warm and cozy just looking at it. This is the Emile Cardigan in mottled camel. It makes me want to curl up in bed with a good book. Or, perhaps, escape to a cosy cabin in the woods and sit by the fireplace drinking tea. As a self-proclaimed sweater aficionado, this passes all my tests. Yes please!
The Elroy Jacket in mottled grey - now I will be the first to admit that historically something like this would be a bit out of style comfort zone. But honestly, the more I think about this piece, this more I like it. It’s a great transitional piece because it can be worn on its own during this first warmer part of the season, and then layer over a blouse or thin knit as the weather cools off. It also cinches in the back for a flattering waistline. A creative and classic piece that will undoubtedly be a topic of conversation when you wear it.
The Claude Bag in chocolate crocodile print. You all know by now how obsessed I am with this bag. Ever since it arrived two weeks ago I have worn it every single day. It is the perfect size for carrying around just the essentials, and I swear I have yet to find an outfit it didn’t work with. The Claude also comes in a variety of different colors. I was drown to the texture of this crocodile print (you know me and texture), but I also deeply love the “smooth sand” color-way which is a rich cream to die for.
The Katrina Dress in caramel. Is it even autumn without a good sweater dress? I adore the thick ribbing on this dress in particular, that and the long lines of the cut are bound to be flattering. One of my favorite things about sweater dresses is that they can so easily be dressed up or down. Pair this with sneaker and a denim jacket and you’ve got yourself a Sunday errands outfit. Heels and an accent clutch? A perfect winter wedding look right there. What dreams are made of.
The Gillie Skirt in navy tartan. I own the Gillie skirt in suede from last season, and it was one of my most flattering and oft-reached-for pieces that winter. It sits at a perfect mini length that isn’t too short but still gives that mini-skirt appearance. Plus the thick cinching belt (also on my favorite Rome shorts I’ve shared a lot about!) is both flattering and comfy. And can we talk about this tartan pattern? Just dreamy.
The Lena Low Boots in black. I actually wrote about these boots in my wishlist post this past spring. They are such a darling silhouette that I just know will pair well with any bottoms. And, more importantly, they are a practically choice of warmth and traction heading into the cold months ahead. So, you can both look cute and ensure that you won’t be biting it on any slick surfaces. If you’re feeling more adventurous these also come a suede that would be stunning.
The Frances Jumper in black. Sézane has had this style for as long as I’ve been lusting after their pieces (so six or so year haha), and it has never failed to come back and sell each season. A true timeless style. I adore the statement color, and specifically with this color-way I feel like there is so much styling potential. Add a bright pop of color, or keep it monochrome (like in the listing pictures). This is a pieces that I feel like can be worn into winter and spring, so once again that cost-per-wear is going to be better than a strictly autumn piece.
The Paolo Coat in Camel. As I feel like I say every year - if there’s one staple you want in your closet for the cold months, it’s a camel coat. It pairs with literally every outfit, and, more importantly, it will keep you warm against those bitter cold days. I really adore this reimagined silhouette of the classic camel coat - it has these vibes of adventure - like something you would wear on a scenic winter roadtrip.
Alrighty! Those are my curated picks from Sézane’s autumn collection! I had such a fun time putting this together, and I hope it can be a source of inspiration to you as you shop for fall. There are, of course, so many other beautiful pieces in this collection, and I encourage you to look around their site for more. Thank you for indulging me, and I hope you have a lovely Sunday ahead,
