My Spring/Summer Wishlist

Lately I’ve been in the process of building what I consider my long-term wardrobe. I’ve felt inspired by timeless and classic pieces that I feel I’ll be able to reach for this year, and five years from now. But, like all of us, I’m on a budget right now and am trying to be reasonable and thoughtful as I build my forever wardrobe. As such, I thought it would be fun to let you in on some of the pieces that are highest up on my wishlist currently.

I’d also like to add a little disclaimer that all of the photos below this are not mine, nor do I claim them as my own. They are from the accompanying brands’ websites. Additionally, none of this is sponsored (I always disclose when things are FYI). Just my honest little wishes. :)

We’re starting off with a bang with the item that is highest on my list and I will likely bite the bullet on very soon. This beautiful Romeo bag by Sézane. I’m still somewhat clinging to my teenage habit of only carrying my wallet and keys in a small crossbody (I’ve been using a Coach Dingy for years and adore it), but I find that lately I’d like to be able to throw more things in. Perhaps my sunglasses, or a lipstick, or even a little hairbrush for when my bangs go awry. This bag is the most perfect next size up for me, not to mention the exquisite craftsmanship. (Sézane is always my go-to for approachable quality pieces).

My current bathroom is not very pretty. In fact it’s pretty much the least aesthetic rental bathroom you can imagine (no window, fluorescent lighting, etc). But I am always dreaming of the future and this bath caddy absolutely belongs in the bathroom I dream of having one day. And it will serve a very practical purpose in my various bathrooms in the meantime - reading in the bath. ;)

This past autumn/winter, one of the pieces I distinctly noticed missing from my wardrobe was a good pair of sturdy chelsea boots. I wear boots every single day from November to March for the most part because I do lots of commuting outside, but always prefer something both practical and beautiful. These thick-soled chelsea Boots fulfill all of the above, and will likely be one of my first purchases in a few months when we head into next autumn.

Bringing that same logic into my spring/summer wardrobe, the one pair of shoes that I would ideally include in my warm weather wardrobe that I don’t currently have are a good sturdy pair of ballet flats. They’re classic, they dress up and down, and they simply never go out of style. This pair in particular from Margaux NY has caught my eye - plus I’ve heard amazing things about Margaux’s comfort factor.

If you caught my last “In The Details” you know that I’ve had my heart set on this beautiful trench coat from Sézane for quite a while now. My current one was a handmade-down, and while I love it dearly it doesn’t fit quite right. I’d love to invest in a piece that is mine in both fit and sentiment, especially such a staple item!

Last but not least, it should be no surprise by now that I’m a headband gal at my core. Jennifer Behr is the queen of the headband world, and I’ve had my eye on one of her pieces for well over a year now. One day I’ll work up the bravery, but until then I’ll be over here drooling.

Thank you for indulging my little wish-list for a few minutes. As I said, I consider these all investment pieces, and by no means something I’m able to just purchase on a whim. One of the things I love most about style is curating a thoughtful and meaningful wardrobe in a way that works for us as individuals. <3
