The Knitwear Edit
It’s not secret that I am a knitwear fanatic. Each year when sweater weather rolls around I turn into a knitwear fiend, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. As I sit here sipping my tea on this chilly Sunday morning, I thought it would be fun to put together a little knitwear edit for your enjoyment. Since, with school, I don’t have the time to put together gift guides this year, consider this mine; because who doesn’t love knitwear?
Let’s start with the scarf that I have been wearing, I kid you not, every single day this week. There are a few winter clothing items I believe are always worth the investment: coats, boots, and scarves. When it’s (quite literally) your neck on line, high quality fabrics and craftsmanship go a long way. So, I present, the Seraphine Scarf. This colorway is currently sold out, but they have a few others that are equally stunning.
Next up, the witchy sweater of my dreams. I just ordered this beauty after following through on the deal I made with myself to sort/donate some items from my closet before I was allowed to purchase her. The lace detailing has me fawning, and black truly goes with everything; so to me this is a win win. If you have a bookworm in your life, I can pretty much guarantee you they would cherish this piece.
Next up, we’re jumping into a men’s option. I have been doing a bit of shopping around for Austin, and since moving up north this fall he mentioned that he is lacking in the sweater department. And oh man have I think I’ve stumbled upon a winner. Nothing says classic and timeless like a cable knit. This is the Oliver Sweater, and it will be wrapped up with Austin’s name on it under the tree this year.
(p.s. one of my best kept fashion secrets? buy men’s sweaters in smaller sizes for yourself . Yes the shoulder and sleeves can be a bit long, but it’s all part of the look. I have a men’s sweater from abercrombie that I’ve had for seven years and still get compliments on everytime I wear it.
My sister'-in-law is a huge fan of bright and fun colors, which is always such fun to shop for. I stumbled upon this sweater that genuinely looks like a cotton candy sunset in knit form - could it be anymore gorgeous? It was an immediate yes, I know she will adore it. and I can’t get over that color!!
The Emile Cardigan comes in so many amazing colors - one of these days I will pick one up for myself too!
And lest we forget, the beanie, that is oh so important in keeping our ears warm from that frigid wind. An excellent last-minute gift idea that works for pretty much anyone. And it comes in an array of shades for the neutral or color lover in your life.
And because I know I mentioned it earlier, this is my coat pick for 2023.
I am a huge coat-lover and could genuinely spend my whole clothing budget each year on coats alone. Knowing this about myself I allow one good-coat purchase a year, and this was my pick this year. A timeless and beautiful wool blanket coat.
There it is my friends! I hope you enjoyed this Sunday morning knitwear edit. As always I sending love your way,
- Faith Xx
